St Louis Job Corps Center is Hiring a SECURITY OFFICER Near St. Louis, MO

Wage: $17.20/Hour a $2000 sign on bonus!

Schedule: Varies, Full Time, 8hr shifts,

Prime shifts: Thursday thru Monday 3-12am (2) or Sunday thru Thursday 3-12am (2)

Split: Monday 3-12 am, Tuesday and Wednesday 11:30-8:30 am and Saturday and Sunday 8-5 pm. (1)

Day: 8 am- 5 PM Tuesday thru Sat (1) 8 am 5 PM Sunday thru Monday (1)

Over night: Overnight 11:30-8:30 Tuesday thru Saturday (1) or 8:30 Sunday thru Thursday (1)

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for patrolling center grounds, managing the front desk ensuring guests sign-in and temporary badges are distributed. Monitor all staff and students wear ID badges, and ensures the safety of staff, students, and visitors.

Essential functions:

  • Ensure the physical security of building and property by checking doors, windows, lights, locks, and other equipment. Maintain patrol logs of findings and corrective action taken.
  • Perform administrative functions such as entering and maintaining logs, reports, and conducting investigations as directed.
  • Perform parking and traffic control duties, check identification and permit or deny entrance according to established policies.
  • Provide proactive conflict resolution with students and refer students to counseling and other actions as necessary.
  • Assist in transporting ill or injured students as required.
  • Promote, support, and adhere to safety practices throughout the facility.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year security experience.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50-70 lbs.
  • State Security Guard Certification preferred. Must be able to obtain Guard Certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of work with an acceptable driving record required.
